Jeremy Johnson, Chief Strategy Officer, BitTorrent Inc.: Jeremy Johnson is responsible for setting and evaluating product and market strategy for BitTorrent where he also serves on the Board of Directors. Jeremy recently joined BitTorrent from SilverSpring Networks, where he was responsible for their data platform for IOT and SmartGrid services. Jeremy managed operations at Sony Online Entertainment prior to Silver Spring, and was responsible for all operational aspects of their global portfolio of premium massively multiplayer games including EverQuest and Star Wars Galaxies. Jeremy was also the founder and Principal Architect of NetVMG, inc., which created network bandwidth and performance management software for media and enterprise networks — NetVMG was acquired by InterNap in 2003. Jeremy has a unique perspective on media and technology given his 20 years of experience during which he has held leadership roles across network services, service operations, online gaming, and the Internet of Things.

 

Robert (Leo) Rodgers, Sr. VP & Label Liaison, Bungalo Records: - Mr. Rodgers has been in the music and entertainment business for 27 years, he executively produced his first album in 1985, and has either produced, or executively produced 7 more records/CD's from 1985-2004. In the mid 90's Mr. Rodgers was solely responsible for the licensing of one of his artist records to the U.K. that went to # 1 on the charts. He later licensed several other records that were subsequently place on the charts as well in Europe. He also attended film school in the mid eighties in order to produce his own music videos for his roster of artist. During his first year of film school he won an International Film award in the music video category from the Black Filmmakers Hall Of Fame Foundation in Oakland, Ca. In just one year later he was bestowed with “Local Video Producer of the Year” in 1989 by a local music video TV station in the SF Bay Area. He has worked in a film with Whoopie Goldberg in the mid-eighties and wrote, produced and directed his own short music montage short film that received raved reviews from a local PBS affiliate. He also directed a short film starring former 49ers Dwight Clark that aired during the S.F. 49ers vs. Denver Bronco's halftime game. In addition he directed a music video that featured several S.F. 49ers, Jerry Rice, Roger Craig, Mike Wilson and Ronnie Lott. Mr. Rodgers has worked with, toured with and worked in the studio with artist such as; Spaceship Earth (members of Parliament Funkadelics) MC Hammer, (formerly Hammer's road Mgr), Club Nouveau, Howard Hewlett, Bar-Kays, Rosie Gaines, Radio Personality Kevin Nash, 2Bigg MC and was credited as Tony Toni Tone's first Promotions Director, and assisted them in the early days with some co-management duties. Alone the way, Mr. Rodgers worked in the High Tech Telecommunications and Internet industry for over 17 years and founded an Internet Licensing Company entitled “Licensedeals.com, which specialized in the licensing of apparel brands and music licensing. In the early 90's Mr. Rodgers produced a syndicated music variety show entitled “Sounds by the Bay” which was a cross between “In Living Color” and “Star Search”, focused on highlighting un-discovered talent, alone with skits. The show was syndicated on the west coast by a PBS affiliate. In 1994 Mr. Rodgers became a little bored and collaborated with one of MC Hammer's costume designers, James Head and Mr. Thurston Bilal, a close friend and businessman/producer. They formed StreetSmartz LTD. A street wear/denim clothing line. They setup worldwide licensing for the “Sagwear denim line. They shipped nearly 2 million in sales during the 1995-1996 first production years, and had product placed in over 500 stores worldwide. Currently, Mr. Rodgers co-owns a new upcoming high-end sportswear clothing line (Debonair) with Designer Eric Fermon and MC Hammer. Currently Mr. Rodgers is the President, Co-Founder and Executive Producer of Catalog License, LLC/Bringem Back Records, which is a music catalog licensing and record company that is distributed by Universal Music Group. Catalog License, LLC, has released over 13 CD's through Universal Music Group. Alone the way Mr. Rodgers managed to work his way into the boxing arena working as a manager and boxing promoter with “Richard Steele Promotions”. His current post is SVP & Label Liaison of Bungalo/Universal Music Grp.

 

Alex Limberis, Digital Media Technology, Ecosystem and Business Model Expert: Mr. Limberis is an expert on all aspects of the evolving digital media ecosystems including Wireless, Mobile, Connected Home and Distribution Infrastructure Mr. Limberis is a 20+ year veteran in data communications and media technologies. His most recent position was VP Business Development at Next Issue the industry funded startup known as the “Netflix for Magazines” in this role Mr. Limberis was responsible for all distribution agreement with device partners such as Samsung and Wireless carriers including Verizon, AT&T and Rogers Communications. Prior to joining Next Issue Media, he was the Chief Operating of Syabas technology a leading provider of app platform based IP set top boxes.  He was the Director of Wireless, Broadband and Consumer Electronics in Microsoft’s Digital Media Division where he drove Microsoft’s success in the ubiquitous adoption of Windows Media into the consumer electronics, wireless and broadband ecosystems including, Mobile, IPTV, MP3 players and music and video services such as Verizon, Amazon and Netflix.  He drove Microsoft to join the DVD Forum and then served on the DVD Forum steering committee which resulted in the adoption of Windows Media into the HD-DVD and Blu-ray standards.  Mr. Limberis also served as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Dolby Labs where he defined Dolby’s strategy to enter the networked entertainment ecosystems. Previously he was a VP at PMI (acquired by Microsoft), VP of Strategic Marketing at Aureal Semiconductor (acquired by Creative Labs), VP and GM at Korg (Yamaha), and a founding director of SW at Ensoniq (acquired by Creative Labs). Mr. Limberis holds several patents in Digital Signal Process and media technologies. He studied electrical engineering at Drexel University and holds an MBA from Santa Clara University.

 

David Reitman has over 20 years of experience, as a Video Game, Digital Media, Entertainment & Enterprise Senior Executive leading globally distributed teams; as it relates to Cloud, SaaS, Commerce, Payments, Marketing Distribution Strategies (SEO, Affiliate), Analytics, Digital Distribution, and Platform; helping companies define and properly execute their digital strategies while seamlessly integrating technologies and associated content partners into the business strategies to deliver value and revenue growth. David is currently the VP, Global Head of MESO (Media, Entertainment, Software & Online Services) industries leading a global team with focus on providing digital commerce solutions. Additionally, David has strategic and product innovation responsibility for the digital commerce business for hybris, an SAP company. Also, David provides Board Advisory support to VC-°©‐backed startups as it relates to developing and executing their Commercial Offering, Business Development & Strategy and Investment and currently serves as a Board Advisor to Tangentix and Greenman Gaming. Prior to hybris, David supported Digital River in a Business Development & Strategy/M&A capacity providing leadership for Strategic Alliances, Direct & Indirect Revenue Opportunities, Product Development, and M&A as it relates to their Global SaaS Cloud Commerce and Payments platform. Prior, David was the VP of Business Development at Gaikai, that built and launched their initial Product Offering, as well as, led the Team that worked with all of the Video Game Publishers & Developers, Consumer Electronics companies, MSOs & Carriers, Digital Distribution Partners. Before Gaikai, David was an Executive Leader with Equinix / Switch and Data and AT&T, leading vertically focused Teams with cross-°©‐functional members of sales, product and engineering executives that supported Media & Entertainment companies with technology solutions to support Massively Multiplayer and Social Games, Cloud Infrastructure, Digital Distribution of Media (i.e. Music, Film, Gaming & Software), Streaming Services, Content Distribution Networks and eCommerce. Philip Hickey, VP Marketing & Communications, Seriously: Philip Hickey is Vice President, Marketing and Communications at Seriously, a company creating mobile games designed to be developed into entertainment properties. Seriously's first property Best Fiends was released in October and has been downloaded over 15 million times with up to 1.35 million daily active players. Formerly Vice President, Marketing at Rovio, Philip lead the marketing strategy and execution across all business units for Angry Birds as well as all other Rovio and Rovio Stars properties. At Rovio, Philip ushered in the age of "the mobile blockbuster", leading integrated campaigns for worldwide hits such as Angry Birds Space and Angry Birds Star Wars, demonstrating how apps can transform the entertainment landscape by integrating digital and physical gameplay experiences in new and innovative ways. Prior to Rovio, Philip was Senior Marketing Manager, Global Partnerships at Nokia where he was responsible for developing and leading global integrated campaign work on high-end Nokia Nseries smartphones such as the Nokia N8. Philip is a former professional basketball player, playing in the US and Europe throughout his career.
