As Sr. Advisor and Head of Original Content for the OWNZONES Media Network, Tavss was called upon for advisement on operations, marketing strategy, product design and business development as well as overseeing original content production for the premium content access platform. While the global head of strategy and innovation for Fox Home Entertainment, Tavss developed and activated a number of innovative content initiatives including branded content, immersive rich media trailers, alternate universe environments, location-based programs, and the second-screen mobile app, FoxPop. Previously, Tavss was an executive at ABC Network, developing movies and mini-series for broadcast as well as maintaining web properties for the network’s movies and series including Politically Incorrect, The Mole, The View, Oscar.com and other initiatives. His work has earned numerous awards including the London International Design Award, Webby Awards and Key Art Awards for his work leading global digital campaigns for The Simpsons Movie and Avatar. Tavss is a frequent speaker at media, entertainment and advertising events. Past engagements include Ad:Tech, Cynopsis, Digital Hollywood, iMedia, BUAC London, The Actor’s Fund, Comikaze and DED Global Roadshow.
Jeffrey Stansfield is the President and CEO of Advantage Video Systems, a leading technology provider to the broadcast, motion picture, television and motion graphics industries. Stansfield launched AVS in 2001 and has steadily built its clientele by focusing on one customer at a time. His slogan, “How can we make your day perfect?” drives him and his team to empower clients with the latest information and technology solutions. His company’s work encompasses workflow consultation, design, installation and integration. Stansfield has served as a general board member, treasurer and secretary of SMPTE (Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers). He supports many other industry organizations including the Creative Pro User Group Network, the Digital Cinema Society, the Hollywood Post Alliance, the Society of Television Engineers and the National Association of Broadcasters. His more than 25 years of experience includes the construction of broadcast facilities as well as technology services for production and post-production facilities, special effects businesses and motion graphics businesses. Stansfield is a certified editor in Final Cut, Avid and Adobe Premiere, and a beta tester for Adobe After Effects and Premiere. He holds certifications in cabling systems, including fiber, and offers expertise in cameras, lighting, shared storage and asset management solutions.
Malachi Bierstein is SVP Sales & Marketing for Saffron Digital in the Americas. Based in California, Bierstein is responsible for driving Saffron Digital’s commercial strategy for the Americas and developing its premium online video platform in the region. Bierstein has a long history in the digital media space. He joins Saffron Digital from Rovi Corporation, where he was head of worldwide DivX licensing, the core business of the company’s delivery and display division. In that capacity, he lead a global sales and support team that worked with all levels of the supply chain including service providers, content owners, integrators, OEM’s, and IC vendors to enhance the delivery of digital video across all platforms. He previously held senior level positions at both Sonic Solutions and DivX where he continually grew revenue and created new markets that were key to DivX going public in 2006 and then being acquired by Sonic Solutions in 2010.
SUSAN BRAZER – CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER (CEO) and Founder of LionShare Media, an LA-based mobile media development studio that’s launching disruptive new apps, e.g., the mLP, an immersive music experience for millennials. Susan has led Strategy, Business Development and New Products for the world’s leading technology, consumer electronics and media companies including: Apple, DirecTV, Viacom, SES ASTRA, FIFA World Cup, KirchMedia, Virgin Mobile USA and Nokia. Recently, Susan was VP of Strategy and Business Development at Nokia's for Smart Sevices and VP Corporate Development and New Products for Virgin Mobile USA, where led created the Sugar Mama mobile advertising and Stash payments services. Prior to this, she was EVP, Business Development of Kirch Media's venture fund for the FIFA World Cup and SVP for Viacom's digital TV services in the Middle East and Africa, where she managed MTV, VH1, Nickelodeon, The Movie Channel, TV Land, Bloomberg and Discovery channels. Susan was the CEO of Global Music One (“Moviso”), which created the first online music promotions for AT&T and pioneered the $8B global ringtone market. As VP at SES ASTRA, Susan led the migration to digital TV for 70m TVHH in 20 Europe countries. Susan led strategic planning and the launch of the world’s first digital TV systems-- DirecTV and SpectrumSaver at Compression Labs. Susan started her career in mobile products at Apple Computer, where she launched the 1st Mac portable and concepted the first PDAs—the Newton and Knowledge Navigator, which laid the blueprint for the iPAD and Siri. Susan started her career at PepsiCo in M&A with the acquisition of Kentucky Fried Chicken and at Philip Morris as an international treasury analyst. Susan holds a B.A. in Economics from Brandeis University, an MBA from Kellogg and attended the London School of Economics. She mentors at Princeton University’s Keller School of Engineering on Innovation.
Dave McIntosh is currently Vice President of Business Affairs at Shout! Factory. In addition to overseeing the day-to-day business affairs for the company, Dave manages the acquisition and distribution of Shout! Factory’s Film and TV properties across all non-physical formats – including Broadcast, SVOD, AVOD, EST, TVOD and theatrical. Dave has been with Shout! Factory from its early days and has been a key driver in the company’s ongoing transition into multi-platform distribution. Under his watch, Shout Factory struck direct distribution deals with Netflix, Amazon, iTunes, Hulu and Google. Dave is currently spearheading Shout! Factory’s efforts in day-and-date theatrical distribution of such films as Cockneys vs. Zombies, Thunder and The House of Magic, Jack and The Cuckoo Clock Heart, and Maya The Bee. Prior to joining Shout! Factory, Dave served as Senior Corporate Counsel for RioPort.com, an early distributor of online music and audiobooks. At RioPort, he served as a liaison between the record labels and its online partners including Best Buy, MTV, and VH1. Between 1996-1999, Dave was the Manager of Licensing at Rhino Entertainment where he licensed hundreds of CDs for the label, including the highly acclaimed Beg, Scream & Shout: The Big Ol' Box of '60s Soul and Nuggets: Original Artifacts From The First Psychedelic Era, 1965-1968. A graduate of California Western School of Law and Fairfield University, McIntosh lives in Culver City with his family. In his free time, he watches far too much television.
