International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (The Webby Awards). In addition, Steve is a Hollywood Section Manager of The Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers® (SMPTE®). For fun, Steve is a marathon runner, crossfit competitor and writes and produces independent feature films. Currently, Steve is in pre-production for his independent film “Checkmate”  Steve was a co- lecturer with former US Ambassador Gary Locke & former Mayor of Los Angeles Antonio Villaraigosa at “The Global Leadership Program” sponsored by USAChina Investments Group hosted at University of Southern California. Steve also is a visiting lecturer at the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business Lloyd Greif Center for Entrepreneurial Studies.  Steve began his career in broadcasting working for Belo Broadcasting and then moved to ABC Capital Cities (purchased by Disney) as Director of Research and Development. In this role, Steve experimented with broadcasting live news on the internet with Cu-Seeme back in 1995.  During the times of broadcast conversion from Analog to Digital, Steve used his knowledge of broadcasting to advice stations on broadcast equipment while at Leitch technologies (purchased by Harris then purchased by Imagine)  During the times of broadcast and post production conversion from Standard Definition to High Definition, Steve joined a Department of Defense Military technology spin-off start up (Teranex) that used Parallel computing for video conversion and pre-compression processing. In his role, Steve advised a number of broadcasters, postproduction studios, and movie studios on conversion, noise reduction, and 3:2 pull down.  As content moved on-line, Steve moved into video transmission, storage, and distribution joining Level 3. Steve advised client on the best practices for online live broadcast and Video on Demand distribution, storage, and monetization. Currently Steve heads the media and entertainment group of Siemens helping clients develop profitable turnkey businesses to deliver live and VOD content to consumers via mobile devices.  Over the years, Steve has advised a number of start-up companies.


Spencer Stephens, Chief Technology Officer, Sony Pictures Entertainment: As Chief Technology Officer at Sony Pictures at Sony Pictures Entertainment, Spencer Stephens oversees the tech side of the content creation and distribution for the studio, steering the implementation of the studio's digital initiatives and expediting production and post production workflows. He's responsible for the creation of new digital media workflows and systems, covering everything from cloud-based services to 3D and 4k, and helps set industry-wide digital policies by working with several technical working groups, consortiums and industry forums. As one of Sony Pictures' senior technologists, Stephens also interfaces with counterparts across Sony Corp. to further the development and use of tools for the creation, distribution and display of high-quality entertainment across platforms. Stephens brings a wealth of experience in technology and management experience to Sony Pictures. Previously, Stephens worked as a technologist for Warner Bros. where he was responsible for technology development and application across a broad range of digital content distribution and production systems. Stephens started in data communications as system engineer at the inception of the computer network industry. He has focused on the design and the innovative application of network systems for other leading entertainment companies including Disney where he worked on digital production for Walt Disney TV Animation. Stephens has a BSc (1st Class Honors) in physics from the University of Sussex, UK and an MS in computer science from the University of California, Berkeley.


Fabian Birgfeld, founder and partner, W12 Studios: Fabian is founder and partner of W12 Studios. The agency was founded in 2012 in London with a strong focus on media and technology. W12 Studios has developed comprehensive design systems for the big screen, delivering content across the device ecosystem and has helped shape entirely new digital content formats for markets across the globe. W12 Studios' clients include Intel, Microsoft, NOS, Red Bull, Vodafone, BBC, Samsung, WatchWith, Beamly, Shazam, Verizon, and Okko among others.  Beforehand Fabian worked at frog design, Method and the BBC where he led the design teams for iPlayer, BBC News, BBC Sport and 2012 Olympics. Fabian has taught design and theory at Princeton University, Syracuse University and NJIT. His art and designs have been frequently exhibited in the US and Europe and won numerous awards. Born and raised in Germany, Fabian holds a BA in Economics from Harvard University and a graduate degree in Architecture from Princeton University.


Steve Bradbury,  Chief Operating Officer, Zazoom Media Group; is responsible for all facets of revenue generation, business strategy, content development, partner relations,  marketing and social media. Zazoom brings journalistic integrity, superior production values, effective storytelling and rapid turn-around to every viral, demandinformed, short-form video produced for the Internet, mobile and connected TV platforms. Zazoom owns multiple content brands including our flagship Buzz60, recognized as the 2013 Model D Award winner for Best Daily Series. Zazoom content has generated over 500 million views since the company’s founding in 2011. Zazoom also produces daily, co-branded, on-demand video shows for Yahoo US, Canada and Latin America in English, French and Spanish as well as three original series for Internet media platform blinkx under their Ella TV, MomIQ and Giant Realm brands. Earlier in his career, Steve was the VP, Content Strategy & Business Affairs for GoTV Networks; at the time the premiere U.S. mobile media network. He has also developed monetization and marketing strategies for companies such as Sony Interactive, The Improvisation, Engage Games Online and TriStar Pictures. Steve’s corporate experience includes tenures at MGM Worldwide Television and Universal TV. Steve is often invited to bring his unique, informative moderating style to major conferences across the media realm. He also led the Hollywood & Digital program at UCLA Extension for seven years and is a board member of the Center for Digital Media Entrepreneurship at his alma mater, Syracuse University.


Christophe Louvion, COO, M-GO: As Chief Operating Officer, Christophe Louvion works closely with the M-GO executive team to oversee day-to-day operations and strategic direction for the organization. In his previous role as CTO, Christophe was responsible for articulating the company’s holistic product and technology strategy, including platform and application development, deployment and user experience. With proven expertise building software services companies, he has driven rapid business growth for big-name data, media, e-commerce, and content companies. As CTO and Head of Core Products for CityGrid, an IAC company, he was responsible for building global-scale platforms that enabled content and advertising to reach more than 140 million users. His work helped grow search and data capabilities for the well-known UrbanSpoon, CitySearch, and InsiderPages platforms. Christophe led product development, life cycle, and sales operations as CTO of Gorilla Media. He drove lean and agile performance improvement initiatives that helped scale the company’s services to more than 600 leading web publishers and delivered integrated media and promotion to Fortune 500 companies. His tenure encompassed technical leadership for Atomic Online, Gorilla’s high-growth sister company.  As Vice President, Product Development and Engineering at Shopzilla, Christophe led R&D for consumer and B2B web sites, SEM systems, and the Bizrate research platform. He spearheaded the company’s transition to agile development and management, enabling growth from $60MM to over $200MM in three years and leading to the company’s $565MM acquisition. Early on in his career he was Architect/R&D lead for Bizrate and a Software Engineer for the US Attorney General’s Office.  Christophe holds an Anvar Award from The French Agency for Innovation for his early work for Cegelec in Paris. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from University of Nancy I and a MS degree in Computer Science from Telecom Nancy/ESIAL. Christophe serves as an advisor and investor to several early-stage companies and is a mentor at Start Engine, supporting LA’s technology entrepreneurship. He rounds out his time as a Certified Scrum Coach.
