served as Director of the Harold Greenberg Fund, which finances the development and production of Canadian feature films. He holds a Certificate in  Business and Management of Entertainment from UCLA. He is a Chartered Board Director, Laval University Governance Program and was selected as one of Canada's Top 40 under 40. Mr. Bourdages is a member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, the American Film Institute, the Executive Committee of the Canada California Business Council and the Economic Club of Canada.

 

Chuck Bush Jr, CEO, Great Road Capital: Film Finance expert Chuck Bush founded Great Road Capital in 2006 and has 20 years of film finance, corporate finance and strategic consulting experience. Mr. Bush created GRC to fill the need in the film and television market for smart business advisors who can lead companies from inception to a successful exit that maximizes returns to investors while allowing creative individuals to realize their vision. Prior to GRC Mr. Bush held a number of leadership positions in the entertainment industry: Chief Financial Officer of Our Stories Films, LLC, a film production company founded by Robert L. Johnson, founder and former Chairman of BET. Mr. Bush implemented and managed the company's finance and accounting systems, led negotiations with potential financiers for a major corporate financing as well as single-picture financing structures, and helped lead discussions related to film marketing and distribution. Senior Vice President of Finance and Business Development at Union Patriot Capital, Inc. and Patriot Pictures, LLC. At Patriot, he helped raise capital from private investors and closed single¬picture financing and distribution deals  Assistant Vice President in JPMorgan's Entertainment Industries Group in Los Angeles. While at JPMorgan, Mr. Bush helped finance some of the most influential companies in the entertainment business including major film studios and emerging production companies. Mr. Bush has experience working on a wide array of corporate finance deals, including structured finance, IPO, M&A, and high yield transactions.  Since 2004, Mr. Bush has taught Finance, Accounting, Valuation, Leveraged Buy Out Analysis, Merger and Acquisition Analysis and Financial Modeling to industry professionals through two for-profit education companies. His expertise in financial modeling and film finance are highly sought after and he has spoken on numerous panels at major industry conferences. Mr. Bush's experience as an instructor allows him to stay on the cutting edge of analysis of the financial markets, the film finance business and Excel financial modeling. Mr. Bush began his career as a strategy consultant at Monitor Company, where he helped Fortune 100 clients identify strategic partners, launch new products, value potential M&A targets, and execute LBO transactions. He received an AB in Economics from Harvard University and an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

 

Bryan Smiley manages Home Entertainment & New Business Development initiatives at New Regency, a feature film and television production company based at 20th Century Fox Studios in Los Angeles, California. In his current role, Bryan is focused on digital strategy and business development, with an emphasis on creating revenues through wireless technology and digital platforms. Bryan’s entrepreneurial nature drives him to conceive and implement innovative new media and digital strategies in an effort to grow New Regency’s library business through emerging distribution channels. In addition, Bryan works closely with senior home entertainment executives at 20th Century Fox and Warner Bros to track, analyze and maximize Regency’s home video library sales on physical and digital formats. Prior to his current role, Bryan worked as a liaison between branded entertainment executives at top automotive companies (Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge & Mercedes Benz) and senior Regency and Newscorp executives as part of a multiyear product placement and branded entertainment partnership.  Bryan is looking to meet branded entertainment, media, marketing, distribution and business development visionaries within the entertainment, technology, mobile and media space. In his spare time, Bryan volunteers at Chrysalis (changelives.org), a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a pathway to self-sufficiency for homeless and low-income individuals by providing the resources and support needed to find and retain employment.

 

René Bourdages, CEO, ELEVADO MEDIA, Inc., Film & Television Consulting: Rene Bourdages is a veteran entertainment executive with more than 30 years of senior level operating experience. Mr. Bourdages held many high level executive positions in Canada before relocating to Los Angeles and focusing his managerial skills on entertainment media consulting. Prior to founding Elevado Media, he was President of CBC merchandising from 2004 through 2011.
