Vincent John Vincent is the co-founder of GestureTek and has been the creative force behind the company and its technological innovations for the past 25 years. Vincent's unique insight and creativity has been instrumental in defining and developing the video gesture recognition and control industry. In addition to commercially marketing the company’s technology, Vincent is responsible for day-to-day operations and sales and marketing for the business. Vincent leads the company's activities in ongoing market identification, product development in multiple vertical markets, and worldwide installation of GestureTek systems. Vincent has personally overseen the creation of well over 400 GestureXtreme virtual experience applications for games, corporate events, TV productions, education, and virtual therapy uses. He has been in charge of more than 6000 installations of GestureTek systems to various vertical markets. Vincent is recognized as a leader in the world of multimedia, having represented the industry and delivered keynote addresses at countless industry conferences worldwide. Vincent is a co-creator and past Executive Producer of The International Digital Media Awards. He is on the advisory board for the Toronto Design Exchange VR Visualization Center, and the Art Institute of Toronto. In 2003, Vincent was honored by the Canadian Digital Media Association with a Lifetime Achievement Award. In 2007 he was honoured with the Media Guru award in Milan Italy. He was the 2011 inductee into the DigiFest "Digital Pioneers Hall of Fame". He has keynoted many conferences and in 2011 he spoke at TedXWaterloo and IdeaCity in Toronto. Mr. Vincent has a degree in Psychology from the University of Waterloo.


Andrew Beall, co-founder, WorldViz: Andrew is co-founder of WorldViz. Since the 1990s, he's helped pioneer the scientific use of VR for human behavioral research; later at MIT and NASA he helped launch the first application of VR in space; and in 2002 helped WorldViz become a leading provider of VR to Fortune 500 and government customers.


Jill DaSilva, Head of UX Strategy and Co-Founder of Digital Karma: Jill is an Educator, Mentor, Speaker and Consultant. In addition to being the Head of UX Strategy and Co-Founder of Digital Karma, Jill also serves as an IxD Advisory Board Member for Santa Monica College and is the Lead UXDI Instructor + Global Education Strategy Team Member at General Assembly. Jill began programming when she was 8 years old and has been designing digital products for over 15 years. She thrives on creative collaboration and solving design challenges. She loves coming up with simple, effective solutions that provide the best possible user experience. Jill believes strongly in sound workflow practices and development methods to create the best project possible right out of the gate. She has experienced firsthand the great benefits of agile development and it is her preferred development workflow. She has worked with several brands such as Fox, Buick, Walgreen’s and Digitas to design and develop 2nd screen interactions. Eduardo Yeh was co-founder/President of iPing, Inc., and co- inventor of Integrated, interactive telephone and computer network communications system, which served as the basis for iPing's time sensitive notification platform. iPing pioneered the ubiquitous notification/messaging services by marrying the Internet with PSTN.  Its highly publicized product that aimed to "humanize" notification, Mr.Wakeup drove the success of iPing, culminating with its acquisition by eCal Corporation in early 2000. After the acquisition, Mr. Yeh assisted Uproar CEO, Mr. Kenneth Cron, in the incubation of a wireless gaming joint-venture in Japan. In mid 2000, Eduardo joined the team at Innotive Inc., a South Korean company, pioneer in touch based interface authoring and development solutions. Eduardo helped establish the US subsidiary of Madhouse Inc, world's renown anime studio (Vampire Hunter D, Animatrix), and adapted Maple Story, one of the most popular free-to-play online game property by Nexon into a 25 eps anime series. From 07~09, Eduardo made a seed investment in Conatus Energia Ltda., a clean and renewable energy (wind and small hydro) development startup, worked with the founders to help them raise strategic angel financing. In 2011, Eduardo co-founded his current startup, Selvz.


Kuangwei Hwang, Founder & CTO, Vrideo: Prior to founding Vrideo, a VC-backed venture at the intersection of technology and entertainment, Kuangwei was lead engineer at ZEFR, the most advanced YouTube technology partner today, leading an 8-person engineering team on a significant channel management product. Before ZEFR, he was a member of the first three core engineers at BetterWorks, and was responsible for tools, platform and infrastructure engineering from day one, as well as web development for user facing features. An MVP was completed in two months complete with payment processing with a continuously deployable web architecture. Kuangwei possesses a deep and diverse range of industry experiences, from early startup web engineer, engineering manager, server infrastructure architect, Cisco Internet engineer, software engineer, to AMD microprocessor design engineer. Other experiences include small business owner of an aircraft leasing operation and 501(c)(3) non-profit manager.




David Birnbaum, Design Director at Immersion Corporation, has been creating haptic experiences for over 10 years, in which time he has collected 20 patents in the fields of user experience, wearables, gaming, medical devices, mobile communication, and rich interactive media. A world expert in haptic design, he is responsible for the creative decisions that lead to the tactile feel of Immersion’s implementations. He also oversees design for the company’s growing rich media business. He's driven by a desire to tell stories with the sense of touch and to bring emotion and realism to digital experiences. David holds a B.S. in Music Industry from USC and a M.A. in Music Technology from McGill University.
